Beauty and Materialism

Is the world more beautiful with art in it ? is the world more beautiful when it has books, paintings, churches in it ? where does this beauty comes from ? is it ‘natural’ ? how does it relate to the world and to material ?

If art was ever to imitate nature is was never about mimesis, material itself is never the same, the material of a tree in nature is not the same material of a tee in an oil painting. Art imitates life in a powerful way, for power itself is imitated as an aesthetic phenomenon happening in the human mind.

There was a time in history when complexity became ‘unnatural’ and what started showing on the canvass, was complexity in an unnatural way.
